Bay Farm Conservation – Duxbury, MA
This area is a real gem! Absolutely love it here. We’ve been in the summer, fall and winter and each time it’s just as beautiful as the last. I think technically the conservation land where Bay Farm is overlaps Duxbury and Kingston but the parking lot you’ll be GPSing to is in Duxbury.
The views here are great, they over look Kingston Bay and when you get to the water you can see the Myles Standish Monument way up on the hill and Saquish out over the water.
This can be a pretty busy area and a few times I’ve driven by the parking lot is almost filled but we’ve always enjoyed our time there! It’s also super dog friendly , as in everyone brings their dogs there but most of them are leashed. We have two dogs , one that’s super friendly and one that’s not so much so dogs on/off leashes I’m always aware of everywhere we go.
There’s more than one trail through the area which is always a plus, there’s one marked yellow and one white and both head through the woods, or you can stay on the main path through the fields which is actually my favorite. This path leads you to the water and a small beach where there are thousands of hermit crabs in the summer, along with a giant rock cliff that is pretty cool.
There are also a few bridges here, but not a very high bridge rating. You’ll be able to walk this trail with a jogger stroller if you stay on the main field, the woods are a little tougher so I wouldn’t advise that but the field itself is a perfect place for a walk anyways!
