Holly Hill Farm – Cohasset, MA
If you follow me on Instagram you’ve seen me rave about Holly Hill Farm in Cohasset. I just love it there! It’s the perfect place to visit with my two kids and we’ve participated in so many of their activities. They have a few different animals, Benji the Sicilian Donkey, Pumpkin the Pony, three goats and a whole bunch of chickens and roosters. We always stop by to say hello to them on a day we aren’t exploring nature (or even when we are, Wheelwright Park is right down the street, check out our visit to the trail on the Hiking & Trails section of my blog)
They have other great actives too, earlier winter we signed up for the Monday morning story hour and it was great. The story is read to the kids in one of the warm greenhouse. Once the story was over the kids are assigned a “chore” to complete around the farm before getting a close up look at all the animals, they even got to go into the chicken coop which my son thought was awesome.
Holly Hill Farm also has a farmers market, although at the moment it’s virtual, it won’t always be (unless of course they decide to keep it, I really have no insider knowledge of what they are going to do 😊) . Currently, they sell produce, and breads as well as local grocery items. Honestly, one of the only places around I could find daikon radish that I’d been dying to pickle (came out delicious too!)
There are a lot of other things the farm offers too, right now they have fire pit rentals but they also do education classes for kids and Friday morning nature walks. Obviously events and everything will change as Covid restrictions and seasons change so check the website but 100000% worth the visit!
